We have just finished re-furbishing one of the original family bedrooms, creating a new guest bedroom, The French Room, with a beautiful view of the front gardens and lime tree avenue!

This facelift has been planned for many months now, and with the wedding season fast approaching it was time to crack on and put all the ideas into practice. One of the key features of the bedroom had always been the decorative fireplace with its ornate detailing and porcelain tiles. To tie-in with the fireplace we upholstered a dressing stool, chair and chest in matching fabric. Above the bed we have added the stunning Corona, with regal drapes to match the curtains.

We now have a total of nine guest bedrooms, including the bridal suite, available for hire.

Paul and I had been together for ten years before we got engaged so when it came to planning our dream wedding we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted, a relaxed day full of personal touches that embodied us, our friends and family. We chose Poundon House as the house and grounds were stunning and importantly the owners allowed us to be completely flexible in planning our day.

Just a quick note to say a big thank you to you, and Esmund and Alexa for all the help and hard work you all put into making our wedding day so special. We had such a fabulous day and the setting of Poundon was just perfect. So many people commented on what a beautiful and special place it was. And the sun shone!

Thank you for being so flexible with all the things we asked and helping out and advising where necessary. It really meant that we didn’t need to worry about anything and could just enjoy the run up to the day and the day itself and that was such a positive thing.

Winter Open Day
