Just wanted to say a big thank you to all who helped create a fantastic open day at Poundon, and also thank you to all who turned up to share the day with us, both new couples looking around with us for the first time and also to couples getting married here next year. We are extremely grateful to all at Poundon House who contributed to making sure our wedding day was exactly what we wanted. We chose Poundon not only because of the stunning buildings and scenery but because we were impressed with their flexible approach in planning our day; unlike other venues where you are required to take a set package. We were given lots of recommendations and suggestions for the caterers, photographers and how the day might run but remained free to choose everything our way. We were very grateful for the expertise of those at Poundon who have experience in organising such an event. As a result of the careful planning and attention to detail by everyone at Poundon House, our day was perfect! Everyone (bride and groom included) had a very relaxed day and literally everything went according to plan; perhaps a first in the history of weddings?! We were also exceedingly grateful to all at Poundon for allowing the children at the wedding space to play, accommodating their food needs and fielding a barrage of ‘whys’ from a particularly inquisitive 5 year old.

The perfection of our day continued in the accommodation provided by Poundon House and through to breakfast the next day.

All in all, we would not change a thing!

We had such a lovely day and I don’t think I would have changed a thing, as the day went so smoothly and everyone had such a good time! All our guests commented on what a beautiful venue we had chosen and even my Indian relatives said it was the most beautiful Indian wedding they’d seen (including the ones in India).

I just wanted to thank you both personally for all your help and expertise – we definitely couldn’t have organised it so well without you.

Just to say thank you very much for helping to make our day so special. We had an amazing time & thankfully all worked out in the end! It was so good to feel unrushed by being at the venue the day before & having time to clear away the day after. Now back to reality, as we aren’t going away until November – busy at work & needed a little ‘normalisation’ too. Thanks again for everything

What a Sunday afternoon!

What a Sunday afternoon! Spent at The Saatchi Gallery for the The Luxury Wedding Show. This is the first show by the same event planners as The National Wedding Show and it couldn’t be more different. I was prepared to find myself surrounded by wedding suppliers who would show a disappointed face when I said I wasn’t a bride (I really needed a badge stating this as its always the first question – when are you getting married – umm..I’m wearing a wedding ring?!) but everyone was super friendly. I missed the catwalk shows sadly which I hear were amazing (next year I won’t have a husband patrolling the Kings Road clock watching!).

The bridal wear was amazing, such beautiful dresses and not the average white dress – lots of antique lace, layers, feathers, and a 1950′s style of dress too. Great menswear too.

Flowers and accessories were beautiful.

I’d recommend this as a fun and ideas packed day for any bride to be….its worth the ticket which is steep at £50 pp. The Goody bag makes up for it, which is also a Luxury goody bag with Dermalogica, Gu, Annick Goutal, L’Oreal, Elemis, and more.
